The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak may be the most difficult challenge that most of us have ever met, but this doesn’t mean that we have to stop maintaining our mental and physical health and forget about the importance of blood donation. This 5km virtual fun run program is open to the public, without age restriction, it can be a run (or a walk) from any location you choose at your own pace and time. Participants can run, jog, or walk on the road or the treadmill. Throughout this program, a donation will be channelled to Pertubuhan Penderma Darah Malaysia (SEDARAH). This event is held to celebrate World Blood Donor Day 2021 and to show appreciation to individuals who donate blood regularly. The run aims to improve public awareness of the importance of blood donation. Blood donation benefits everyone: reveals potential health problems, reduces harmful iron stores, lowers the risk of suffering a heart attack, and reduces the risk of developing cancer. This event is a non-competitive event and participants will be assured an enjoyable time throughout the run. This program encourages and motivates the public to improve their physical health through running and thus implies the culture of a healthy lifestyle. This virtual run program will be really exciting with such great souvenirs such as a medal, t-shirt, running e-bib, and e-certificate. The merchandise will only be delivered to the participants who have fully submitted proof of runs and meet the target distance. Join us now to create awareness on the importance of blood donation among society, to symbolize the need to continue to donate blood and lead a healthy lifestyle.
